FIESTA is an annual ten day celebration that began in 1891 to celebrate San Antonio's 200th anniversary, and the Day that Texas won her Independence as a nation on April 21,1836. This year Fiesta will offer something for everyone during the 10-day extravaganza of food, music, carnivals, parades mariachis, concerts, art shows, festivals, rodeos, pageants and family fun. Fiesta is expected to attract over 3 and a half million people who will consume an estimated 532,847 gallons of beer, 1,253,412 tacos, and 952,321 chalupas.
